GÖLGE
50x50 cm, limited edition printed on paper, three color screen printing
“Gölge/Shadow” digitally produced by Irmak Ecem.
It is her first song with a melodic/dark/electronic background.
The song tells us about the stages of a journey. Its structure, supported by dark melodies and brass, seems to describe a difficult and intense struggle in a dark world. In this progression, which becomes richer and more intense as the song progresses, the use of brass gradually increases to higher pitches and becomes stronger. This transition seems to relieve us and give us hope at the end of the journey.
Two colors dominate the visual of the song. Black and pink actually tell us the contrasting feelings in the soul of the song. The depiction of the struggle in the soul of the song is seen in the body of the figure playing the sausaphone, which is contracted and about to explode. The depiction of darkness is felt in the depth of the dark black circle that covers the inside of the sousaphone instrument.
